The majority of Americans are against the wholesale amnesty of illegal immigrants. We welcome those who go through our immigration processes, but those who come here illegally are breaking our laws.
Further, we demand that our borders be sealed to discourage illegal entry into our country.
Americans cannot afford to pay for the health care, education, food and housing of those who have entered this country illegally. It is not right for the taxpayers to carry these burdens in such hard times.
Immigrants should be able to support themselves, add value to our country and pay taxes like everyone else before they are legalized. Giving them carte blanche amnesty is a slap in the face to those who immigrated legally and to the taxpayers who are already overwhelmed with debt.
