We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Stop Pretending You Care About What People Say and Shut Down petitions.whitehouse.gov

Created by C.G. on September 11, 2016

On 12-08-09, Obama's Open Government Directive memo provided specific direction to all U.S. federal agencies to implement the Open Government Directive, including a direction to provide an Open Government website and plan within 120 days after 12-08-09 that would require each agency to develop public participation and collaboration plans. Obama later claimed, "My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government," but instead became known for its extraordinary secrecy. In addition, it's fairly obvious that this particular Administration doesn't care what people think or say in their petitions. So it's time to shut down petitions.whitehouse.gov. Perhaps another administration can develop a way to sincerely incorporate public input into decisions.
