The outgoing concessionaire of Yosemite National Park, DNC Inc., has launched an attack against historical names in the park. They are forcing the National Park Service to change the following names:
Yosemite Lodge at the Falls will become Yosemite Valley Lodge
The Ahwahnee Hotel will become the Majestic Yosemite Hotel
Curry Village will become Half Dome Village
Wawona Hotel will become Big Trees Lodge
Badger Pass Ski Area will become Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area.
These names are synonymous with Yosemite National Park and belong in the public domain. This petition asks the White House to intervene and protect our historical naming rights.
