We are in the midst of a global freshwater crisis. Turning water resources into a commodity controlled by private corporations for profit means that they will be sold to the highest bidder, not where there is the most need or moral human rights. Countries with the money to exploit the largest resources have water and prosper, while 3.4 million people die each year from a water-related disease. Water resources should not be under private control.
