Men and women who responsibly own firearms, those who respect the law and take proper precaution when it comes to purchasing such said firearm are now at risk of having their 2nd Amendment rights taken away.
Many of which who do own firearms are members of the Police Department, or are in the United States Military and do in fact remain responsible when carrying a loaded gun.
When owning a gun, it is not a hazard, but a safety net. For example, if your house is being broken in to and that person is armed, but you are not, what exactly are you supposed to do? In many cities in many states, the police do tend to take longer than needed, to get to your house, but it takes 2 seconds to stabilize a person who is a threat.
