There need to be stricter laws in the United States when it comes to the individual procurement of exotic animals. There needs to be more strict trade when it comes to this issue because these animals are some how crossing over our borders without being detected, or it is being overlooked. The recent tragedy in Ohio is a perfect example of how this inhumane kind of "collection" can go horribly wrong. This man who owned these animals was clearly not capable of caring for them in anyway, and not to mention he was a convicted felon. If convicted felons are not allowed to buy guns, why are they allowed to buy and own exotic animals that they know nothing about? There needs to be put in place several kinds of permits to allow this to occur.
