Canada, New Zealand, Australia, have dropped the use of the penny. It costs us an estimated 2.41 cents to produce a currency that has a value of 1 cent. the coin costs us even more in lost time at the register, this coin has outlived it's usefullness, and is often disregarded as trash. Time to update our currency and get rid of this coin.
