The penny isn't doing any good for our country. It is too small to effectively facilitate the exchange of goods and services. America is making billions of pennies each year, spending 1.7 cents on each one. Our neighbor to the north has already made that realization and took action by getting rid of the penny which has been saving them millions every year. This isn't a foreign subject to the government either, military bases around the world already have stopped using the penny simply because it isn't worth the hassle of using.
Its time to get rid of the penny to save money as well as time in lines across America.
