The effect of plastic on our environment is greatly misunderstood. The amount of plastic produced versus the amount recycled is atrocious. It costs less to produce more than to recycle. It then ends up in our landfills and oceans, leeching into the food we eat, like fish or beef or poultry, after being contaminated with bacteria and disease. Furthermore, plastic has been scientifically proven that it disrupts and damages multiple systems within our body i.e., endocrine etc. These damages are affecting the health of everyone, regardless of how conscious you are about plastic poison. Over 90% of people in the United States, have traces of Bisphenol A (BPA) in them.
