Stop the proposal of federally protected lands to be transferred to state control.

Created by J.L. on March 16, 2015

Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT), chair of the House Natural Resources Committee, proposed that America’s public lands be transferred to state control. This will allow states to buy federally protected lands to then be sold to private companies for the use of drilling, mining, deforestation, etc.

Bishop states states that public lands “create a burden for the surrounding states and communities,” and “the solution is to convey land without strings to state, local, and tribal governments.”

This proposal is alarming to our environment, conservation efforts and the preservation of our beautiful land for future generations.

We do not want our federally protected lands to be transferred/sold to state or private owners.
