STOP THE PROPOSED ELIMINATION OF FAMILY-BASED IMMIGRATION VISAS!

Created by X.Z. on June 11, 2013

1. The ability for new immigrants to have family reunion eventually is one of the biggest advantages that U.S. has in attracting foreign talents to immigrate to our country.

2. The elimination of all family reunion immigration visas for siblings (65,000) and married children over the age of 31 (25,000), or about 40% of the total family reunion immigration visas, is unjust and inhumane! For some families, there are only siblings, no more parents. This will cause many families to be separated permanently.

3. The above-mentioned elimination will seriously affect Asian Americans' population growth (about 50%), businesses, jobs & lives. This is a catastrophic blow to Asian American legal residents!

4. Family reunification is a value that should not be undermined.
