Stop providing foreign aid and arms to Egypt.

Created by A.M. on February 01, 2013

Egypt gets the second most U.S. foreign aid. It varies, but U.S. foreign assistance to Egypt has averaged about $2 billion, which includes fighter jets, tanks, armored personnel carriers, attack helicopters, antiaircraft missiles, and surveillance aircraft. The Department of State insists U.S. assistance: has played a central role in Egypt's economic and military development; can bolster Egypt's nascent democratic system and achieve inclusive economic growth; and supports Egyptian efforts to protect civil liberties and human rights. We are arming and paying Egypt to deny protection of civil liberties and human rights.
