stop punishing Americans by not pursuing to reform the workforce for those with felony convictions.

Created by K.P. on November 15, 2015

Many Americans are unemployed or hold low paying jobs due to felony convictions. I am petitioning on behalf of this population of people to have the opportunity to better their lives and the lives of their families. Often times, people receive their felony conviction/s at a young age due to immaturity, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or peer influences. As these people mature, their felony conviction/s consistently acts as a barrier for these people to improve in areas like education, housing options, and employment. I am petitioning the Obama administration to knock down this barrier and allow these people to have the opportunity to live the American dream.
