Stop the PUPS Bill (Puppy Uniform Protection and Safety Act) and stop letting HSUS set up breeding regulations

While no one likes the thought of substandard kennels, HSUS (who wrote this legislation) misrepresents facts and distorts the picture of breeders. The majority of commercial kennels are in compliance with all regulations. Any kennel who is not has already found a way to circumvent the system. Adding new restrictions to cover all breeders whether they have 1 dog or 100/1 litter or 100 will not solve the problem of puppy mills but will put undue restrictions on good breeders and increase government spending for enforcement of same during a failing economy. WE THE PEOPLE have the right to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness (including breeding of dogs and internet advertising of same if we so choose) and it is your job as the GOVERNMENT “to secure these rights” for us
