Usury is a bad dirty business, raising interest rates will make life more expensive for most people in the USA, especially for those which don't own a home yet, students and young workers.
Banks and other financial businesses should make their profits from transaction fees and profit sharing, not from sitting on their hands and collecting usury profits.
Please limit lender's interest rates to low value, 2-3% top, or even better prohibit usury all together.
