This petition will serve as a voice that although our society embraces new technology and social media, we will NOT tolerate its abuse in the humiliation, dehumanization, mocking, exploitation, and trauma caused to rape victims alleged or other wise.
Further, to establish a mocking bird law that will make the mocker accountable for the damages caused by civil actions, criminal actions, or both. Our goal is to set boundaries and make our society re-think about their roles and understand we have reached a tipping point and the critical point that sexual assault is pervasive in our society--and that the ruling institutions of this society are responsible to protect victims and the multiple ways in which sexual assault survivors are re-victimized via electronic technology and social media.
