The number of wolves killed in Minnesota during the recreational/sport hunt is 1/4 the total number of wolves estimated to live in Minnesota during the first legally sanctioned wolf hunt since 1973.Wolves that are alleged to be threats to livestock can be legally killed.The estimated livestock deaths in 2011- 2012 were 88-90 out of 400,000 livestock. The proportion of livestock deaths by wolves is grossly overstated and overestimated by the cattle industry.Wolves belong to the people of Minnesota, not to special interest groups that kill them for sport and the pleasure they get from killing an innocent species. Don't sacrifice our wolves to politics!Ethically, if your not going to eat it, don't kill it!
