Right now we have a growing and for the most part silent, issue facing us...Geneticaly Modified Salmon. "Frankenfish"
Already many US Supermarket chains are boycotting the sale of these fish. More should do the same. For people to mess with our environment by altering genomes, is not right. These Salmon have Genes of an EEL, the ocean pout in them..Gross..They do have some Chinook Salmon Genes in them too, which is why they look like Salmon,but, please note..These Are NOT SALMON.
I live on the Snake River in WA State. My family has enjoyed fishing for Wild Salmon, Steelhead and Trout for years. Our ecosystem in this area are as sensitive as they are anywhere else in the world. Why? Would we want to disrupt this balance with a nasty Frankenfish, that will do way more Harm than good? Say NO!
