Stop the release of information on persons who have a concealed carry weapon permit.

Created by J.M. on February 14, 2013

The public release of information on who has lawfully obtained a concealed carry permit for firearms is a blatant invasion of ones privacy. There is no need for persons to know addresses, birth dates, etc. This puts Americans in their own homes in danger with no recourse for those who request it.
Persons who obtain a concealed carry permit already followed the law and also have shown both knowledge and respect for proper handling of firearms. A list of persons who have a permit should be held by the local law enforcement NOT for public viewing and held under strict guidelines.
If a permit holder violates a safety standard, commits a crime, becomes addicted to illicit drugs, the Chief Law Enforcement Officer would hold the ability to revoke a persons Concealed carry permit after a review.
