Continuing to release terrorists from the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba is harmful to our national security. Many suspects, who were designated as 'high-risk' individuals by military intelligence analysts, have been released to various Middle Eastern countries such as Yemen (which is full of al-Qaeda operatives). There are now only 93 terrorists left in Guantanamo Bay; the first time since 2002 that the inmate population has dipped below 100 terrorists. The Obama administration has expressed an interest in closing down Guantanamo Bay and moving the remaining terrorists to a Continental US prison facility. This not only would not only cost a massive amount of taxpayer money, but it would also be illegal and dangerous.
