It has come to the worlds attention that black history, slavery, the civil rights movement and our civil rights leaders will no longer be in the history textbooks provided by the school system. Removing our history from these books will be equal to removing our very existence as a race during those times. Texas is the first state to utilize the new curriculum. However it is suppose to be implemented nationwide. This can not be. Erasing the teaching of our history will erase the memories of everything our ancestors fought and died for.
