Stop the removal of Wyoming Wild Horses and Burros from public land.

Created by C.B. on October 08, 2014

Currently all wild equines in the Wyoming "checkerboard" area are being removed to appease cattle ranchers of the Rock Springs Grazing Association.

The animals are removed and held at taxpayers expense to holding pens until they are "adopted." Many "adopted" horses go to Mexico for slaughter.

As of October 7, 2014 over 1,000 horses have been removed, by October 5, 2014 at least 13 equines have died during the helicopter roundups, many of these have been foals (young horses still nursing).

Please cease this senseless taxpayer burden! There is no reason We The People should have to pay for the removal of Wild Horses from public land to appease the ranchers leasing public land.

The horses are not starving, they are healthy and can be managed without expensive roundups and costly penning
