stop the repayment of the $7,500 First Time Home Buyer Credit issued in 2008 and pay back all money already collected.

Created by D.M. on November 20, 2015

In 2008, eligible Americans received $7,500 as a First Time Home Buyer Credit (FTHBC) with the provision that it would be repaid in $500 yearly installments over 15 years. In 2009 and 2010, the FTHBC increased to $8,000 for eligible Americans with no requirement to pay the money back except under certain circumstances. All Americans should be treated fairly and equally. It is unfair that those who received the money in 2008 received $500 less and are required to pay it back no matter what. This requirement should be cancelled and all the money already paid in be paid back to all eligible individuals who would not have been required to pay the credit back based on the 2009 and 2010 rules.
