NOTE: Active or Former Law Enforcement Officers Only
The signers of this petition are all either active or former law enforcement officers. We have served and protected the public, often at great personal risk. We are aware that many of the top-ranking officials of a number of law-enforcement agencies have supported the call to limit the personal rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment. Their numbers are insignificant compared to the tens of thousands of front line officers rejecting the calls to infringe in any way on the rights guaranteed to law abiding American citizens. Their opinions are often politically motivated. Ours are not. We do not fear arms in the hands of our fellow citizens. We respectfully request that you stop telling the American People otherwise.
