Stop Rewarding People Who Took Out Bad Mortgages

Created by J.H. on November 07, 2011

Those of use who took out a mortgage on modest houses that we could afford to pay are being punished for our good judgment every time that you propose 'helping' people who took out loans that they couldn't hope to pay for. If you are going to force the bank to 'forgive' a portion of their debt you should also force the banks to give us the amount of value that our home lost. We took out loans that we could afford to pay. We are making payments. We are living in our houses. Stop rewarding those less sensible/conservative for their risks. It was as much their risks as the banks that caused the problems.
