Right now, only the rich and well connected can afford to run for office. The poor, low income and middle class are being left out of representation. It is time to limit each office to a maximum expenditure for every candidate which they can not exceed. Lower income citizens should be allowed to raise money to the extent of the ceiling and win/lose based on the issues, not money to buy the office.
