Gun control hardly ever works. If that were so, then Chicago would be the safest city in America, Australia's home invasions would not have risen, and the UK wouldn't be called the violence capital of Europe.
Only criminals will have guns. Whenever something is banned, only those who do not abide by the laws will have them. For a good example, research how effective prohibition was during the 1920s. When a criminal breaks into your house, you will wish you had a gun to protect yourself.
Crime rates will skyrocket. Bloomberg said that about 34 children are killed everyday from guns, yet he will not mention that firearms stop over 7000 crimes per day! Another good example: when Washington D.C. banned handguns in 1974, crime rates increased by over 134%!
So please stop the war on guns!
