In March of 1972, the Equal Rights Amendment was passed. The Equal Rights Amendment was created so that both sexes had the same legal equality, and to end discrimination against certain sexes. Since 1997, when female genital mutilation became illegal, we have ignored this amendment. We've continued to mutilate our infant males- and for what? Profit? Claimed "medical benefits"?- What a way to welcome our newborns males into the world... A scalpel to the most sensitive part of their bodies- the foreskin. This unconstitutional routine practice needs to end, and it needs to end now, and I will fight tooth and nail until it's over.
