Stop running NASA like a jobs program; start pursuing a space frontier!

Created by H.E. on November 07, 2011

In 1958, NASA was created to advance a space frontier. This broad and noble idea of a civilian space agency, devoted to peaceful purposes for the benefit of all mankind, grew from its inception until it carried 12 American astronauts - and the dreams of a nation - to the Moon. Ever since, NASA has been a force acting on the educational pipeline of this nation, and it has driven our children to study those difficult subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These kids don't need a jobs program, they don't need SLS, they need a dream. Let's move NASA to the next step. These are the people that make tomorrow come. I'd like to hear a speech with a vision of a space program that doesn't involve $18 billion and 6 more years. Let's bring it NASA. More funding for CCdev, plz!
