It has come to my attention that this past weekend a hip hop rapper known as Lil Wayne was shooting a new music video for a song titled “God Bless Amerika”. During this recording an American Flag is dropped to the ground and Lil Wayne proceeds to dance over the flag repeatedly. This action taken with the lyrics of the song shows a complete lack of respect for the Flag and everything the Flag represents.
I, and the undersigned, request that you please discontinue any and all sales of Lil Wayne's memorabilia and products in the military Exchanges (AAFES, etc.) around the world. By doing this you would not only earn the respect of Americans who value the honor and history of what the Flag represents but you would also show that you are willing to stand with those who truly love this country.
