Stop the sale of 'holiday' pets.

Created by A.B. on January 14, 2012

Each year, "Three pets are abandoned every hour on Christmas" (RSPCA). Why? Because people wish to adore their children with the Magical thought of having a puppy pop out of the box under the Christmas tree. However, once the puppy isn't a puppy anymore, or once the family sees how troublesome and how much care a dog or cat needs, they're abandoned at the shelter. This costs the taxpayers money, and murders hundreds of animals each day. The shelters can't keep up with it, and they shouldn't have to.

This has been an issue for a while, yet nothing has been done to protect the animals.

Thus, as some states have stopped selling alcohol on Sundays, we should prevent breeders from selling animals within a time period before, and after, Christmas and other Holidays.
