In a Rialto, California, an eighth grade classroom was given an assignment to prove whether the Holocaust was a hoax.
There is no reason why the students should be instructed to prove or disprove that the Holocaust is real. This only encourages the spreading of misinformation that the Holocaust never happened. It justifies and even condones, antisemitic propaganda.
This whole assignment seems to be an excuse for anti-semites to publicize and advertise not only falsehoods about the Holocaust and but to teach kids prejudice and hatred against Jewish people.
There are so many other concepts and topics that can be used as a way to teach skills like research, investigation and critical thinking. Please stop schools from assigning anti-semitic propaganda.
