Instead of giving foreign countries our tax dollars, I propose to use these tens of billions of dollars a year toward issues in our own country that need improvement.
Just think of how a billion dollars a year each could help education, NASA, road improvements, clean energy infrastructure and rebuilding disaster areas.
A few billion could also be used to actually start paying down the debt that has been created.
Finally to spur innovation within the USA, take a billion and start an “X-Prize” type of competition open to only US citizens. This could be used for cures for illness, more efficient batteries, or other ideas that need working on. Yes, there is research dollars for findings cures, but, put a billion dollar first prize out there and see how fast a cure is found.
