We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Stop the Senseless Deaths of Citizens and our Police Officers

Created by B.F. on October 29, 2016

In 2016 alone we have had nearly 1000 civilian deaths, and in the last 5 years over 5000. We have nearly as many civilian deaths in the last 5 years as we did fighting in the Middle East since 2003; this is unacceptable. This year we have seen retaliation in the form of violence against police that has taken national spotlight on a few occasions. This too is unacceptable. I call for government to draft a bill that requires the following for our police:

- outsource investigations involving police incidents
- mandatory body cam (on for shift duration)
- more robust police academy (longer training, heavy emphasis on non-lethal deescalation, higher physical standards, superior mental evaluation, community policing training)
- country wide regulations on policing standards
- demilitarization
