The massacre of 20 innocent children & 7 teachers on 12/14/12 illustrates the need for a complete firearms ban in the USA. The guns used in that heinous massacre were all LEGALLY owned by the killer's mother who, ironically was a teacher at the school & the first victim. The prolific amount of legal firearms makes these horrible crimes too easy to commit. No amount of school security, short of prison level security, could have prevented this crime as the killer broke into the school. Do we want to turn our schools, theaters, shopping malls into prisons?
Only sensible solution is outright ban on all firearms. Many first world countries have this sort of ban and the streets are very safe
Our government is the most stable in the world - we don't need firearms to defend against bad govt
