Juveniles are not adults in any aspect of life, juveniles cannot join the military, buy cigarettes or alcohol, or even get a tattoo without an adults approval because the are unable to responsibly make these choices at a young age. How can the judicial system be the only exception? We do not charge adults as juveniles, that would be unimaginable, in fact we have harsher sentences for adults who commit crimes against minors. I understand that kids can commit serious offenses, even murder, but to say that they understand and comprehend the severity and consequences of their actions as would an adult is ignorant and proven to be untrue. The fact is the human brain is not completely developed until the age of 25. JUVENILES ARE NOT ADULTS!
