Too many families are separated by the broken immigration system in the United States. Parents are separated from children, spouses separated from each other, U.S citizens forced to choose between country and spouse and in some cases leaving the U.S to be with their loved one. This needs to end. The U.S immigration system has a strange obsession with immigrants obtaining green cards and then pushing them toward citizenship. I'm asking that you create or reform the current spousal visa to grant it automatically upon filing to any foreign spouse of any U.S citizen with no prerequisites. File, and issue. this visa should be renewable every 2 years provided the foreign spouse hasn't committed any offenses deemed harmful to their community or the country in which they reside.
