Stop sequestration! Demand Congress take action to end this senseless threat to our economy before it's too late.

Sequestration was devised as an incentive for Congress to hammer out a balanced plan for deficit reduction or face indiscriminate cuts across the board - something no one in their right mind would want to happen. But it didn't work because a radical fringe of the GOP is using sequestration to accomplish its unrealistic and imprudent agenda regardless of the consequences. In essence, it is holding America hostage by refusing to negotiate - thereby abusing the power entrusted to it by the American people. Way too much is at stake, i.e. a fragile economy, national security, jobs, innovation, education, transportation, children's programs... and much more. Other viable, more humane ways to reduce the deficit have been put on the table. WE the PEOPLE demand Congress ACT NOW!
