President Obama is on record during his election campaign as a supporter of whistle-blowers who reveal wrong-doing by the US government. Now, he is prosecuting whistle-blowers more aggressively than any other president before him, applying the Espionage Act, a law created to prosecute foreign spies, to US citizens who practice civil disobedience to reveal crimes by the government. This is the equivalent of "Shooting the Messenger." Here's the logic: if you reveal to the media that government agencies are illegally spying on US citizens, you are labeled a spy and prosecuted as a spy! Americans should be grateful to those who alert us to wrongdoing...but our president wants to put them in jail. Tell Obama: "Stop Shooting the Messenger" and keep your promise to support whistle-blowers.
