This petition is for the women, men and children whose voices have been silenced by the injustice of the system that is set up to "protect" them. It is for the the 1 in 3 women who have been raped, molested, harrased, or abused in America. This is for my 14 year old cousin who was raped by a 44 year old man for years before speaking up, only to be told he not only received bond but was already walking away free from the charges he already has on his record for a similiar offense and the ones he was being accused of again, while she attends counseling every week for the emotional damage she suffers because of these experiences.
