We the people of the United States hereby petition President Obama to instruct the Department of Interior, National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management to stop assisting the state of Montana, and it's Department of Livestock in slaughtering the bison of Yellowstone National Park.
Studies have proven that the bison are of no threat to spread the disease of brucellosis to any cattle that may graze on federal grazing land adjacent to the park, and the park can sustain a safe population in far greater numbers than the current population.
There is no sound reason for this senseless slaughter.
