We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

STOP the slaughter of our national symbol, the Bald Eagle, by wind farms providing insignificant amounts of energy.

Created by S.E. on May 26, 2016

Wind companies and other power providers could kill or injure up to 4,200 Bald Eagles a year without penalty — nearly four times the current limit. Golden Eagles could only be killed if companies take steps to minimize the losses.

The Fish and Wildlife Service estimates there are about 143,000 Bald Eagles in the United States, and 40,000 Golden Eagles.

Reporting of Eagle mortality is voluntary, and the Interior Department REFUSES to release the information.

Bald and Golden Eagles are protected under the MBTA and the Eagle Act. (Remember: Bald Eagles were endangered in the recent past and Eagles mate FOR LIFE!)
