This site is something to be taken seriously as it is a new step in communicating with the people. When there are no checks in place for spamming, it leaves the concept open to abuse by people who are upset because they lost a presidential election. Otherwise we will be bogged down by the petitions to secede from the union, and other ridiculous attempts to take the ball and go home.
