Spectra is expanding their gas pipelines up the coast of New England, damaging the environment & putting the health of all people living near the compressor stations in danger. People who live near gas compressors are constantly exposed to butane, radon, benzene, & other pollutants, often at levels significantly above what is considered safe by the EPA, causing increased levels of lung cancer, asthma, heart defects in newborns, dermatitis, & a host of other problems.
Beyond the health concerns caused by compressors, fracking causes significant environmental damage polluting the air, soil, & water while contributing to climate change. We are asking the president to put a stop to the pipeline and stand up for those who don't want to sacrifice their health for Spectra's company profits.
