We send money making cash. Literally! The life cycle of dollar bills is quite costly. Why are we still using cash in a age where everyone uses debit or credit cards. We can now even pay something uses a mobile phone. We spend money cashing checks, losing money when we lose change in couch seats. There are over $1 million dollars in pennies all over the US just lying around on the floor. Even if we did not eliminate all of the paper bills and coins. By taking away maybe pennies or $5 bills we could save billions of dollars and use that money else where. Would You Use Dollar Coins if It Saved the Government $5.6 Billion in 30 years? ( That line is not mine, I did see a article on Gizmodo.com about it and it got me thinking.) How many of you use cash? Most don't unless we need to.
