By law, many States' board of higher education have the right to deny foreign (out-of-state) universities the ability to offer online programs to residents of their state. The schools and programs being denied or requiring to seek authorization are fully accredited by regional accrediting boards. -- This should not happen. Students should not be limited to schools that their resident state deems appropriate for them to attend. Students should not face fines for desiring to attend universities that could save them tens of thousands of dollars.
[I am not referring to out-of-state online for-profit universities. I am referring to out-of-state nonprofit/state schools]
