This petition is meant to stop any segregation of gay people in any state. First of all segregation tramples on the natural human rights guaranteed to all people in America. By enacting segregation laws, gay people would face the same issue African Americans faced during the civil rights movement. Secondly the people supporting these segregation laws are using the argument of it being against religious beliefs; however the first amendment prevents laws being created based of religious ideals. Finally, the segregation gays and other people should be stopped for it being completely unconstitutional.
