Stop subsidizing corporate agriculture and subsidize local and statewide organic farming projects and initiatives!

Created by K.H. on September 23, 2011

Its time to make good on the promise of Farming Subsidies and give small, family-owned farms the incentive to grow healthy food at competitive prices and earn a decent living without prohibitive overhead costs that are forced on them by growing subsidized GM foods. By reallocating the 25 billion dollars in farm subsidies from corporate farms to support organic farmers and community cooperative farming collectives, we can create millions of local jobs nationwide, reduce the carbon-emissions, improve national public health and lower medical insurance costs, eliminate the environmental impacts of large-scale, commercial farming, and improves the quality of food produced in the US, which would allow its international export and increases our GDP. And that's just the beginning.
