We demand that Sudan back off AND allow relief to the S. Sudan people.
Sudan is on the brink of war with S. Sudan. The Nubian civilians are poverty stricken and near death. Samaritan's Purse's Franklin Graham wrote (after visiting S. Sudan), "We found scores of people, mostly women and children, hiding among rocks and in caves . . . They are eating whatever they can find to survive-insects, grub worms, tree bark, roots . . . " He also wrote, "The government of Sudan has barred relief workers . . . from entering Nuba . . . " Samaritan's Purse newsletter 5/12.
I am sickened by the lack of humanity shown by the Sudan government. We as a nation, professing undeniable human rights, cannot stand by while a "baby" nation is sieged and plundered by a power much greater than their own.
