Our involvement and unconditional support of the Saudi government is a black mark against the United States in the global community. Our support for them joining the United Nations human rights council reflects very badly on our own record. This petition asks that we cease and desist all funding, support, and arms deals to this corrupt regime, and demands that we work with the world community to hold them accountable. Their funding of extremist terrorism worldwide, and their brutal continued bombing of Yemen should have our condemnation, not our unquestioning support.
As Saudi Arabia prepares to publicly crucify and behead a young man for speaking against Saudi oppression, the United States should rethink our alliance with this repressive theocracy, and stop our support immediately.
